Hurricane Wheel Hubs Chewed Up
Hurricane Wheel Hubs Chewed Up
I recently got hold of a PW Jeep Hurricane for Scammer in good shape that the previous kid outgrew. I decided to juice it up a bit with 18v and new gearboxes, batteries and 775 motors. What I'm finding is that what I'll call the 'lands' in the wheel hubs are being chewed up by the drive hub. I've seen other Power Wheel models do this and seems even though the drive hub slots are around an inch deep only about 1/4 to 3/8 inch of the wheel hub lands are engaged creating a point of failure in a higher powered vehicle. There is no appreciable space to take up between the wheel hub and axle caps that would significantly make the wheel hubs slide further into the drive hub slots. Anyone been able to solve this?
