12v Camaro Steering Issue

I got my son a Camaro back in May. He rides at least once a week.
The steering broke recently. It will turn left but not right unless you whack it. It seems like something is stripped.
The National Products people are great they just needed a receipt for the replacement parts to be sent for Scammer.

I can't find the receipt. No biggie the replacement parts cant be that expensive, but i checked online many people are having this steering issue with this car.

Anybody have a quick fix?

not sure if i have to get the steering wheel or the steering shaft or if the nut is just loose.
Gotta get my boy back on the road!!!

OK it is the steering wheel that is stripped.
I took it apart yesterday and took a look inside the steering wheel and noticed that the plastic was stripped almost in both directions.

maybe if it wasn't plastic it would be more durable. I think i should get 2 of em.
the national products guy says that the new steering wheel will be more sturdy. Excellent!!! :lol:

How did the new steering wheel hold up? I'm thinking of buying the pink Camaro for my daughter and a lot of the reviews I read complain about the steering wheel stripping.
