Simple-ya right! Paint Flip (Santa Job) Dodge Ram

Post by gwinnythepooh »

Here is the little Dodge Ram that I picked up a few weeks ago to flip for someone as their grandson's Santa gift.

It turned out REALLY well. LOTS of Heat gun and sanding, and at one point I thought this project was DOA... The plastic was terrible, but we made it, enough coats of paint and clear, and everything laid flat and shined up. :P
The last thing I need to do is oh so carefully melt the stickers off the old tires and install on the new rear tires, as well as find a part that the parents already lost

My fav part was the seat. It turned out really cute!

The pictures were all taken with my iPhone, in a dark room, so excuse the minor blurries...

THanks! Yes, Paint Pen. LOVE them. I'm starting my Escalade this weekend and plan on using paint pen on that too. I love designing on these cars. I was pleased how this came out. I still need to put his name on the steering wheel, and get a little license plate for it to take back over when I finish the wheels, and replace the axle cap that they lost.

The hood, and got Boise state I ordered off eBay. The hood decal was $ but I really wanted it

The rest I have this vinyl decal kiosk in the mall that makes them custom for me.
