Boise State Bronco Harley Davidson- Paint Project Flip

Post by gwinnythepooh »

So this Harley Cruiser I picked up off CL about a month ago for $55. It was made in 2001 and was practically brand new. the tires looked like they never hit pavement. It looked "right off showroom floor". It came with a newer battery and charger.

So we originally bought it to do a Police bike, until we actually found one. So this became a flipper, and living in Bronco Nation we can get alot more for it by making it a theme bike. It is going to be awesome!

Here's the before pics

and here's the mid paint job pics...

Its pretty stinking sweet! We'll let it cure over the holiday and put it back together on Sunday and then I'll post final pics of it all back together. These have got to be one of the easiest projects.

Here is the final bike. It looks amazing and I am super happy with it. I will list it for sale this weekend and now could kick myself for not setting myself up for more flips before Xmas...

That looks AMAZING!! How much are you asking for it?
Wife said to get a hobby that involves the kids. Guess that backfired on her!

Thanks! These Harley's are fun to paint.

Since my jeep sold so quickly at $300 with no bargaining, my husband thinks we need to ask $350 for this... I'm not sure. If I would have made 10 jeeps they all would have sold full price this week. So I'll see how this does

I have not sold it yet, waiting for spring since I finished too late for Santa. But I plan on getting no less than $250 for it.
However, that price is given the significant cost in investing in Boise state decals (I think I spent $40) so naturally it will go for more than a regular flip paint. Also take in account what things go for your area... A standard used good condition 12v pw here goes for about $150... So this custom Harley at $250 is a good deal. I sold my bsu jeep for $300.

$40 is a good price if they're in pretty good condition, esp if thats for both! They are a blast to paint/customize. My fav by far.

Nice job, Gwinny!!! You're my inspiration :) lol!
Seriously, if my themed vehicles turn out half as cool as yours (and sell for half as much!), I'll be a happy man!
I just wish I had more time to work on 'em... I'm still only 1 color into my 2 OSU jeeps (well, two if you count black)... ugh!
