Oh, and I am going to get Razor scooter soft grips for it, and I wanted to add a disclaimer I know the tires wont stay like that, its for resale purposes only so that it looks nice. I will warn buyer they will go back to grey as soon as driven.

All Done. Going up for sale on Friday. I need to get 2 others ones ready and want to list all together.
I still need to get skateboard grip tape for foot rests so they don't chip right away, but otherwise its done.
My black looks amazing! Super duper happy with Krylon Clear

Part Deux. I had so many people that wanted this, that I had a special order for one... I tweaked a few things and I like this one better.

Start:

Final: (selling these for $175 btw)

had to use original grips, so added in red accents

Does the brake light work or is it just the sticker? Super cool finished look. I like the red accents too

Just a sticker... Lol. I don't add lights or mods to any of my flippers.

Still looks cool. What clear coat did you decide is your favorite now? I've used the Krylon and the Rustoleum now and I think I'd have to pick the Rustoleum

My final answer is Rustoleum 2X. Mainly because I get no dust effect on any level, and I can easily wet sand prior to last coat (1 hour after previous) and get great results...this is Rustoleum 2X and it looks amazing

how long does the paint last without chipping, if you know. I realize these are flips, just trying to get a better idea. I feel like everytime I paint I have to wear white gloves and bubble wrap while putting them back together. Of course it may be just the kids like to SLAM things around in the garage,.

Are you clear coating well? That saves alot.

Mine don't chip , unless they actually hit something which is to then be expected. I am very firm with customer on how to care for them, the rules to set for kids...if they want them staying nice.

My first paint job (BSU Thundercat) was rode HARD for a year before I sold it and had zero chipping.

My escalade..is trashed. And by that I mean I am a girl, a perfectionist, and there is a scratch on the front bumper therefore it is trashed...

I'm getting at least 3 coats of clear, but the boys will be boys. Small bumps and running into cars doesn't hurt the paint, but bicycles dropping on them etc does.
