this is a learning project for my daughter and I. I have mounted the 7r gear boxes and am wiring it for 18 volts for now. It is for my 9 year old daughter so she can play with her little sister. my daughters size was the reasoning for the 7r gearboxes thinking they would take the abuse better than the supersix set up

: I cut 2 small notches in the bottom to allow the 7r box to fit

: also had too notch a small spot for the motor under the seat

: I was building a floor shifter but due to my daughters impatience IM saving that for the 2nd f150 we have. I got the Idea for this location from a couple different mpw posts

: a few 3/16 bolts seem to hold the shifter firmly enough. The 12 volt jeep harness I got from Taz fits inside the body sides with very little room to spare

I hate that dreaded paint wrinkle

:evil: I have had that happen after 7 days. It seems to happen if the new coats are put on real heavy.

: Here is the aborted floor shifter, I was planning on some carpet to give it a finished look, probably going to pursue this on the next f150 that we just got from craigslist, the ad said $25 for unused power wheel and when we got there it was still mostly in the box so I didnt even bargainon the price

the connections on the terminal strip are from my switches and batteries. I am planning to wire my batteries and relays there also for battery charger leads. also im working on a proportional 3 speed throttle set up based on an old JLG scissor lift joystick

What kind of speed does this top out at? Also, how much does your nine year old weigh that drives this. It looks sweet by the way!

Thanks! Ive never clocked it officially been meaning to do that I have sped it up a little more since that video with better motors. My 4 year old was able to get it VERY airborne when hitting the end of the driveway so she is off the speed testing list till next year :lol: :lol:

Also, that terminal strip that you have pictured up above with the spade connectors, where did you get that. Any info on that would be appreciated.

we use those strips on aerial lifts at my work,they come from http://www.epwparts.com/ not sure if you can buy from them but if not I could get you 1 the prices you will see are retail I believe they are around $20 I could probably get you one far cheaper
