Power Wheel Modders of North Eastern Ohio

Post by iDz Bowl »

Hey, I've been seeing a lot of Ohioans lately and I figured I'd start up a new club. Anyone from the area or near by feel free to introduce yourself, maybe we'll get enough responses to start up a group. I would be happy to hold some races and or MPW events in our area. Also, we can use this thread to help with trades, sales, and part findings in our area. Hope to get some activity here!

Hey, great idea :)
we've got at least 5-6 NE Ohio folks here, I bet...
SAHDman and Battman2036 are both local, too.
I'd be very interested in meeting up with some folks to talk shop or show off our (kids') toys!

As far as the group goes. If we want this to be posted where it can be seen more, we need to get more people in here and keep it active. I think once we have a steady pace going in here, I will ask the mods to make it a highlighted group. Does anyone have any suggestions for a group name, we would of course need to leave North Eastern Ohio in it, but maybe something that stands out. I know one of the other groups is called something like extreme modders of such and such. I have a group at another website that makes custom things, not Power Wheels, but the good thing about it is that we have logos made already and I have a bunch of people that are into computer graphics over there that could help us out. That group's name is Mayhem Customs, how would that sound to you guys; Mayhem Customs of N.E. Ohio.

Let me know, tell your friends, let others from Ohio know about it!

Thanks,
Jeremiah

This is some of our many logos that we use, which can be modified in anyway for this group:

your logo's pretty sweet!
it's probably just me, but it seems a little aggro for what we do here in the ride-on world. maybe it's just bc I only have a daughter! lol
I'm thinking if we need a name/logo/etc, how about just "North Coast BPROs" with a simple-ish logo with some bright colors?
just my .02!

Welcome, 3Js!

Hey guys, what are your thoughts about trying to get a display or exhibition set up at one of the local county fairs next summer? Maybe a race and/or static display, or something else entirely? I think people would get a kick out of seeing these things in action :)

Fairly new to the PW world. have a 5 year old and a 3 year old at home that love these things. I have 2 Jeeps. One is an old barbie Jeep. The body on the Barbie Jeep seems alot smaller than the newer Jeep I also have. Are the older ones smaller? The Barbie Jeep takes the 2 red top 6v batteries and the newer Jeep takes the single 12V.

sfrid073: I'm local to you. I'm over off Marks and Center. If you have any questions let me know. as for the sizes, is one a single seat and the other a two? You might also be able to convert the 2 6v to a 12v single if that strikes your fancy.

I just found a nice Dumar in the trash (in decent shape) that I am giving to another member that lives near me. If you see something that you're not interested in, maybe grab it for someone else here or let someone else know about it. It's better than letting the trash guys get all the fun!

Jeep Lift Kit

Post by landon »

I'm doing a little cleaning today and wondered if any of you guys want a jeep lift kit that is taking up space I need. It's pink and I think I have everything but the bumper. If you want it and can get it from Barberton area in the next few days, it's yours.

I'd actually like to have it (would fit nicely on my pink barbie jeep), but don't figure on being over that way in the next week. I'll post next time I'm heading out that way for work and if you still have maybee we can make connection.

Sounds good to me, Denny. I'll hang on to it for you.

I've also got 4 Harley saddle bags. They're in pretty good shape, hinges are fine, some scuffs and light scrapes. $3/each or $10 for all 4. Any local takers before I post 'em in the general FS section?

Battery Trade?

Post by landon »

I know it's a long shot, but it can't hurt to ask, right?
Would anyone local be interested in a little trading?
I have a few 12V-26aH SLA batteries that work great. I bought 5 from a battery company in Cleveland who recovered them from an industrial UPS system. They run $60-80 new. I've used them in several builds and they last FOREVER on a charge. but... they're too big for my upcoming builds. These will fit in a standard Jeep (under the seat) with no cutting, and lots of other vehicles with a little bit of convincing (I put one in a Harley with very little effort).
I would like to trade one of these for (2x) 12V-12aH batteries... I'd consider smaller aH, as well. Let me know!

I'm new here and located in central Ohio but get out to Toledo and Cleveland areas from time to time. I just got my 3yr old a Jeep Hurricane at Toy's R Us for less than half the price of a new one. It's been used a little but everything is in working order and the warranty is good. I'm going to let him get used to driving it before I start modding it and if he still fits in it by then...we'll start modding it. I definitely plan on putting in lights and building a trailer for it (I've been wanting to build an expedition type trailer for my Jeep for a while). If need be, we'll crank up the power for him too. I like the idea of a remote kill switch in case he tries to make a run for it. I'll be reading up on all of these topics over the next several months and maybe start working on them over next winter.

Awesome man! Sorry, I tend to take a break from the Power Wheels in the winter, my garage gets too cold!

Anyone around have any extra/spare Harley seats. A friend of mine found two Harleys in the garbage but they didn't have their seats. I would be willing to pay for some, let me know. If anyone has two, I'd be willing to also trade a nice 12v after market battery for them.

I've got a red Harley that's taken a part, if anyone around needs any of the parts for it let me know. I'm not sure how the gears and motors are just yet, I have to still test them. The wheels aren't great either. I know a lot of people choose these to flip, so let me know.

Ok Ohio Folks, I have recently dusted off my vinyl cutter and can now make custom decals once again. I use the same vinyl others here offer (Oracal 651) and like to think I can produce almost anything you desire. If you have a need for something, let me know.

I also have two Kawaski 4 wheelers. I also bought the front end kits to fix the sag.
