No doubt! Always an accomplishment building yourself! Easiest 18v solution with typical esc is to simply use a pot on the throttle wire.

Very cool. I probably parts in my bin to make one. However, by the time I transfer and etch that PCB $12 for a 24V 500W controller sounds more appealing. Don't get me wrong I am a DIYer but... I have to concede sometimes.

Will post my results with dual esc upon completion and a few hours of use. It is no surprise though. There is small differences in overall ESC from one to another simply due to part tolerances.

I will just drill hole in each ESC enclosure and mount a pot. Dial each motor accordingly and see what works... or doesn't work.

As for the 'coast' setting without being on throttle does something around 4v to the motors sound right? On a 12v build low is in a perfect situation 6v to each motor. That is supposedly 2mph. So, a good voltage to the motors for a slow crawl about 4v?

Yeah you can use a pot on the throttle connections for many different purposes. I will do some testing when I get the chance. I still need to do some modifications to each controller and get rid of some clutter from them.

That was a concern I had when you said you were using dual controllers in your build crusher if you remember. The controllers seem to very well in tune with each other when I tested some things on the bench.

I have two 24V 500W YK31C ESCs and a pair of #7 21T gearboxes with BaneBots mounted to drop into this jeep for another upgrade. Will one '500W' ESC per BaneBot be sufficient or shall I still consider an ESC bypass?

The consensus is paralleling two ESC outputs equals fried ESCs. You can try it though if you want. It's a $30 gamble that the house likely wins. Relays are cheaper!

I don't think combining the two ESC outs together would be a very good idea. I'd stick with separate relays for the each ESC and motor.

Thanks, skinny. Looks like used a 5k pot. I knew it was possible was just unsure of the value. I'm just using it for bench testing some mods. See how it goes once I get my experimental YK31C.

Should be able to simulate the pedal with voltage drop across the pot? Just want something for bench testing. Suppose I can buy a cheap $2 twist throttle.
