It really sounds like a bad battery. I know you had it checked but I'm not convinced that they load tested it. I would check battery voltage when the problem occurs. Its doing everything that every Kids Trax vehicle does when the battery dies.

OOOOps.....sorry, haven't checked in in a while. I don't have any #3 gearboxes left. I might be able to track down a few old stock new ones. Is that a super6 or 12v Bigfoot?

The Lil Wrangler uses a 12v motor and a 6v battery. You can use the stock one.

You had a bad connection at the melted area. Most likely at the connector to the fuse. Resistance causes heat. The rest of the vehicle is very likely ok.

Its hard to tell from that pic but it sounds like your push button switch is bad. Unplug the white connector. If it stops running the push button is bad.
